Highlights

  • Net profit for the year increased to TZS 2,616,742 thousand (2017: TZS 2,170,603 thousand).
  • Profit before tax was TZS 3,624 million, a 67% increase from TZS 2,169 million in 2017.
  • Revenue increased by 23% from the prior year to TZS 18,433,709 thousand (2017: TZS 15,027,871 thousand).
  • Basic/Diluted earnings per share grew to TZS 45.46 (2017: TZS 37.71).
  • Total assets as at 31 December 2018 amounted to TZS 31,888,685 thousand (2017: TZS 31,041,613 thousand).
  • Directors recommended a final dividend of TZS 1 billion (TZS 17.4 per share).
